Most people who love to cook will attribute their passion to Mom’s knack in the kitchen. I am no exception. My mom’s emphasis on eating whole foods made with real ingredients has stuck with me into adulthood, and I consider myself a very conscious shopper. I see our family as doing all the “right” things when it comes to food, but I won’t turn away from a bag of good ol’ Doritos for guilty pleasure, either. Moderation is the mantra.

I would rather create a lavish home-cooked meal than eat out, for rarely do I find somewhere that serves vegetarian fare that’s better than our own cooking. I’ve started a small catalog of links to our favorite online recipes- some healthy, some not-so-much. (Recipes with an asterisk are my own creation.)
